Coats and Swagger

There isn’t much I like about winter as I have always been and will always be a summer soul. However, I have one exception, which is the increase in the amount of clothes I can put on my person. Winter layers allow for more creativity and clothing options and despite growing up in the warm Southern hemisphere, I find that winter styling comes to me more naturally than summer styling. The most important piece of anyone’s winter wardrobe? A winter coat. It conceals most of your outfit, so needs to be a statement and I tend to buy oversized Coats For Men. I love the swish of a huge, long coat sweeping behind me when open like a cape. The mystery of what I’m wearing underneath a woolly cocoon of a duffle coat. The imposing shoulders of a structured men’s oversized overcoat that almost hits the ground. It’s the drama for me. Below are some examples of men’s coats to suit every style and attention commanding occasion. Head over to Superbalist and Buy Coats For Men!

The Military

Command the attention of your troops (or just your colleagues) in a military coat replete with oversized buttons and decorations of your life achievements. A military coat in khaki isn’t too on the nose, so long as camo is not in close proximity.

The Overcoat

Make like an investment banker in the financial district with a classic business coat. A business coat is so versatile in its styling, as it can be worn with anything – jeans, a suit or even tracksuit pants.

The Duffle coat

The duffle coat is the overcoats more casual, fun cousin. They are super warm and plush and feel like the permanent embrace of a teddy bear. The duffle coat is great form weekend looks and are accessorized with wooden toggles and rope fastenings.

The Trench coat

A French staple, the trench coat is great for warmer winter days. It looks best oversized and draped over the shoulders. If it is cold, instead of fastening the trench coat buttons, wrap the coat around yourself and fasten with the belt tied in a knot.

The Puffer

There’s no need to look like a tourist with a puffer jacket, if styled correctly, they can be quite cool. Opt for bigger puffer styles to combat the tourist look, and bright colours are great and versatile. a
